I am currently a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University,
working on my master's thesis under the guidance of Dr Branicky. My plans are to walk
the aisle with my wonderful fiancée, Jia Doughman, to whom I
have been engaged for what seems like all my life now. After that,
we will be settling down in Seattle, WA, where I will work at
Microsoft. I look forward to great times there, away from school,
away from student loans, and with plenty of time on my hands to enjoy
married life with Jia Jia.

I am a recitation leader for ENGR 131, Introduction to Computer Programming this Fall, 2002. I lead the Monday 11:30 recitation every week, reinforcing and teaching concepts, designing and grading homeworks, and providing support to my students via email and the recitation webpage I created.

I was recitation leader for EECS 338, Introduction to Operating Systems, two semester for Dr Tekin. My recitation webpages for each semester (2000, 2001) link to study-aids I wrote for the students each week, announcements, and other course documents. I contributed a great amount of material to this course, which students appreciated a great deal. This course was taught on the Solaris platform using standard Unix system calls and utilities. We covered process management, interprocess communications, and networking.

I am pursuing a masters thesis under the direction of Dr Branicky. I am exploring properties of Rapidly expanding Random Trees (RRTs), trying to make them smarter and to understand why they are attractive means of solving planning problems.
