Ex. 4.14, 4.15:  In addition to the exercises in the textbook, you need translate the ER model to the Relational Model.

Project

Each team will present their work on Dec. 6 class and every student will give a score on other teams’ presentation. Hard copy of the report should be turned in to your TA when you do your presentation. All materials including code and a softcopy of your report are due on Dec. 7 midnight.

 

You need form a team of 2 to 3 students and report to the TA by Friday 9/21.

 

Write one or two pages on the project: what application that your group wants to build, what host language, database system, and data set you will use.  Briefly describe the above issue.  It is due on 10/11 4pm.

 

Midterm: Oct. 18.  It covers the topics until the SQL triggers. The materials are ER model, RA, RC, SQL (VIEW, TRIGGER).  Cheat Sheet is allowed. The size of a cheat sheet is 1 side of letter size paper or both sides of a half letter size paper.
