Deformable Object Simulation
Members: Jessica Fitch J. Reed Walker
Goal
The goal is to animate deformable objects interacting with rigid
objects.
More specifically, we will try to simulate and animate deformable balls with
varying elastic properties bouncing on a rigid table.
Approach
This work attempts to:
A. Generate point cloud
representations of objects using MLS (moving least squares) technique
B.
Detect collisions between objects
C. Compute energy and motion of
objects
D. Deform objects using Boussinesq approximations with volume
preservation techniques
